In this episode, er, sustainable food production?
By the by, I made some edits regarding the Sachuat’s gender in the prologue. The clan culturally do not have our typical conception of gender binary, so it’d make more sense for certain words to be gender neutral. I.e “Sister” is now “sibling” and “daughter” is now “child.”
Ira will still call Sao by he/him because he doesn’t understand the infinite scope of the gender spectrum (yet!) and if Sao did live inside the gender binary, they’d use he/him/they/them.
thanks for reading!
interesting tidbit on the Sachuat clan! I’m really enjoying the dialogue between these two; it provides a lot of indirect insight on the different ways they were brought up! It feels a bit inverted actually. Ira, the country boy who lives on a farm is quite (not sure if this is the right word) jaded, or at least not as “naive” as Sao seems to be about these kinds of things. And Sao, whose clan was attacked and was forced to escape and has probably been through a lot more than Ira has, almost seems idealistically naive (like he believes that everyone should get food sans payment). This is just my analysis of course, haha. I know that the reason behind my remarks is because of cultural differences between Ira and Sao, but it’s fun to theorize!
that’s a graet analysis! A lot of it is definitely in line with how I think of thm.
It’s also so lovely to know someone is reading deeply into my characters. I really appreciate your comments. ^_^
